Refurbishment of the worn out sheet pile wall at our Terminal II in the inner harbour has begun. To reinforce the quayside facilities, sheet piles with a length of up to 22 metres and a total weight of 900 tonnes will be installed by Emden-based construction experts, Gebr. Neumann. Completion of the 3.5 million euro sheet pile wall is planned for the end of this year. After completing the quay and railtrack building work, the terminal will again be accessible to "trimodal" traffic (water, rail and truck).
