05.06.2012 - Successful participation in this year's Emder Matjes Run on 2nd June 2012
This was the seventh time that EVAG / ELAG competed in the Emder Matjes Run. Some 1,900 runners took part in the "Runtime Company Run" category. With weather conditions perfect for running on Saturday afternoon, the mood along the course was relaxed. Applauded by thousands of spectators, and fired on by the beat of a Samba band, some drummers and even a brass band, take part in this run was a genuine highlight for the runners. Team EVAG A Men improved its time by about 3 minutes compared to last year, taking an excellent 6th place from 145 participating teams. The total time was 57.59 minutes. Team EVAG B Men achieved a very good 62nd place. A mixed team of EVAG / ELAG trainees also entered the competition, achieving an very pleasing 69th place of 110 teams. The EVAG Mixed Team also came in a respectable 85th from 110 teams.

The Emder Matjes Run is regarded as one of the best running events in the whole of Northern Germany. And we will be back again next year with several teams. Many thanks to the organisers and to everybody who joined the run! It was great fun once again!
